  • Abstract: The article makes an attempt of generalizing analysis of existing approaches to studying the “minor” female writers works (on the example of the literary heritage of “emigration daughters”, who lived in France in the 1920’s–1930’s.). The first part of the article lists the elements that contribute to the re-reading of “emigration daughters” texts and the re-evaluation of their literary reputation (comments and reprints of their texts; international conferences; creation of research “gender studies” series in major publishing houses). At the same time, it is important not to rehabilitate these “minor” writers at any cost, but to study the historical and cultural context and critical reception of their work, to compare them with the modern view of their literary heritage and to draw conclusions about changes in their literary reputation. The second part of the article presents the main existing approaches to studying the literary heritage of “emigration daughters”, namely: historical-cultural, gender, historical-poetic. The conclusion emphasizes the scientific community’s interest for “minor” authors.
